SCHOONER FOOD PANTRY 

The Schooner Food Pantry (SFP) s a partner agency of the Westmoreland County Food Bank.  For program guidelines,  you can check out their website.  

Are you interested in volunteering at the SFP?  They need help to box the boxes on the Friday before distribution as well as on Saturday during the distribution.  In interested, please contact the Schooner Food Pantry at 724.314.6005.

PLEASE BRING YOUR EMPTY BOXES BACK TO THE NEXT DISTRIBUTION.

Schooner Food Pantry Guidelines & General Information

The Schooner Food Pantry is every FOURTH Saturday of the month with the EXCEPTION of (sometimes) November and every December, when it is held on the THIRD Saturday of the month, due to the holidays.  ******REMEMBER, there are some months that have FIVE Saturdays, so the SFP IS NOT ALWAYS on the last Saturday of the month.  The list of dates is below for 2025.

The SFP starts at 9 am to noon for those with vehicles, and starts at 8:30 am to noon for those who are walking.  

To sign up for the SFP, you MUST be a resident of Westmoreland County.  You need proof of residence and an ID.  If you are registering for a senior box, you also need proof of income.  

Please do not start lining up until 8:30 am.

Schooner Food Pantry Renewals

For Senior Boxes:  Every April, seniors must re-enroll for their box.  Seniors will need to present an ID, have proof of residence, and proof of income.  They also must re-enroll after missing 3 distributions in a row. 

For Regular Boxes:  Every July, everyone must re-enroll for their box.  For regular boxes, you will need to have an ID and proof of residence.
